NYE 2021 – Important Event Information

There’s a couple of important things you need to know for Friday.

Giveaways

First, we’re giving away 5 VIP Packs randomly on the door – these include a $100 voucher to spend in the venue. Make sure you come down early between 3PM and 3:30PM as we will be giving away these VIP packs randomly as you scan in.

Arriving on the Day

NYE is being held at Reid Park, located on Boundary St in Railway Estate (opposite Townsville State High School). Doors open at 3PM.

To ensure you get in smoothly, we recommend coming down before 4:30PM.

There will be limited availability for taxis and rideshare in the evening, as there is typically high demand on New Years Eve. We’d recommend aiming to arrive at the event before 4:30PM as there will be limited rides available after this time.

Getting There

Drop off is preferred – via a mate, Taxi or Uber. For public transport options, please see Google Maps or Translink Journey Planner.

Please note that drop off is one-way only. You must enter Boundary St from the Officeworks end only.

Getting out of There

The event finishes at 10PM. If you are being picked up, please organise in advance for your lift to arrive.
> Pick up will be from in front of the Civic Theatre in the allocated pick up area
> There will also be a taxi rank set up in the same spot
> We will have 2 buses doing round trips  to flinders street from 10:15pm. These depart from the carpark of the Civic Theatre.
> Beam and Neuron scooter ranks set up on the stadium side of the Reid Park footbridge

Tickets

To ensure you get into the event as smoothly as possible, please have your electronic ticket out on your phone when lining up. 

Load up the ticket PDF you were emailed as this is higher quality than a screenshot. Make sure to turn your phone brightness up to 100%.

Make sure that you have your COVIDSAFE check-in app loaded with your proof of vaccination and ready to scan in upon entry to the event.

Electronic tickets are preferred but paper print out is also fine. 

What to Bring

It’s going to be a big day, so please bring:
> Your ticket (the PDF you were emailed is preferred)
> Valid Photo ID (Driver’s Licence or Passport). This is an 18+ event.
> COVIDSAFE check-in app loaded with your proof of vaccination
> OR other approved proof of vaccinations (see link here)
> We recommend being sun safe (sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat)
> Bring cash – there will be EFTPOS facilities at the venue, but bring cash to be safe.

Merch

There will be a merch tent where you can purchase Artist merchandise.

Food

There will be a range of food vendors at NYE. Food will be running for the duration of the event until the sell out, so please come early if you are hungry! 

Afterparty

The official NYE afterparty is being held at Otherwise Bar. Tickets can be purchased on the door at Otherwise.
